Ingrid dress ENG

The Ingrid Dress is worked bottom-up. First, the skirt is worked in the round following the chart. The skirt is wide and is decreased evenly before starting the yoke. Then the sleeves are worked, and the yoke is shaped with raglan decreases. The neckline is finished with an i-cord bind-off.

The dress length can be adjusted as desired. It is recommended to wash/steam the work as you go, as the texture stretches a lot after washing. For example, if you knit size 1–2 years for a one-year-old, you may want to skip one pattern repeat. The sleeves are intended to be slightly short so the lace edge sits nicely at the wrist, but you can make them longer if you wish.

The dress is intended to be somewhat fitted. Go up a size if you want a looser dress with room for a garment underneath.
